Upon meeting and talking with Danny Rich, I understood why people are gravitating toward the 25 year old singer/songwriter. After popping in my advance copy of the “Don't Stop The Music” CD, and listening to his work on the project, I was eager to meet him to see how Danny Rich “the man” measured up to Danny Rich “the artist”. His endearing and inspiring lyrics, clever songwriting and soulful melodies are refreshing during a time of gangster's, pimps and player's and over-synthesized vocals. Dressed in a sleek pair of dark blue jeans, crisp white polo shirt, navy blue tie that matched his navy blue vest and matching white sneakers, Danny Rich enters the photography studio to shoot his pictures for the album artwork. He greets everyone with a warm smile that perfectly complimented his outgoing and friendly personality. After 30 minutes of posing and posturing for the camera, I sat down with Danny Rich and I am happy to report, Danny Rich “the man” did not disappoint. Describe what it's like creating a song. Creating a song is a lot like painting. We start with a blank canvas and it starts with one stroke of the paint brush and the next thing you know your masterpiece is complete. It's almost like an out of body experience in which I always end up thinking to myself, "I cant believe I created this...” Today most artists are only interested in money and the fame, what made you decide get involved with the QME Media community initiative? I decided to become involved in this initiative because i wanted to be apart of something bigger than myself.. bigger than Danny Rich... many artists are concerned about changing the music industry. I am more concerned about changing the world we live in because changing the world we live will affect the music industry. How has working with QME Media impacted your career? Working with QME Media has allowed me to look beyond the music. They are a company driven not by money, but by reshaping the world. They are innovative and passionate about every facet of their business. It is infectious and breeds success! Through the "Don't Stop The Music" Tour you are able to help the community.. how does that make you feel? Giving back is what makes this endeavor so important to me. Inspiring others to achieve is the best gift I can ever give anyone. How does the "Don't Stop The Music" Tour impact the community? We work in conjunction with many non-profits, to use our gift of music, to raise funds and awareness for great causes. We hope to inspire people to chase the impossible dream and use the universal language in which everyone understands..that language is music....though it comes in many dialects, it has the power to connect us all.
