ABOUT US....
RCHH is a faith-based 501(c) 3 non-profit organization established by a formerly homeless individuals in June 2000, to address the problems of homelessness in Rockingham County. Through supportive housing program grants RCHH provides homeless participants with shelter, food, clothing, and other supportive services. RCHH has been successful in implementing the grants goals through collaboration with the faith community, Rockingham County Department of Social Services, Public Health, Mental Health, New Reidsville Housing Authority, and other support services agencies. The Board of Directors, RCHH Staff and the Rockingham County Regional Committee to End Homeless are very committed to eradicating homelessness in Rockingham County.
Our Mission
Rockingham County Help for Homeless, Inc. (RCHH) values every human being as a creation of God; we believe that all people should have adequate shelter, food and clothing. Our purpose therefore, is to work with the community to provide shelter plus supportive services to the homeless people of Rockingham County.
Our Vision
Rockingham County Help for Homeless, Inc. strives to be the premier agency in Rockingham County in addressing the human needs of its most vulnerable people. Our hope is to enable these individuals to become independent citizens where possible.
In order to promote independent living, RCHH will act as a resource center for referrals to the appropriate agencies.
RCHH will provide counseling, case management and mentors to assist clients in achieving the goal of independence in permanent housing.
